Many well-known hiking trails can be found in Baxter State Park, Acadia National Park, and in Maine’s western mountains near Stratton. Thus, many people who come to Maine to hike, end up in these regions. However, in a state as large as Maine, there are countless other places to hike that may be more convenient for you to reach, or better suited to your abilities. So please let us show you some of our favorite places.
Most of the hiking trips that we do are in north-central and Down East Maine. Many of our inland hikes are easy walks up small mountains. They provide wonderful views for relatively little effort, and make a great half-day outing for families with young children. We also hike Gulf Hagas and some other inland trails that are more challenging and require a full-day.
All of our coastal hikes are done in the Down East region of Maine (near Machais) and require a full day. Generally, this area is much less traveled than coastal areas farther south, and visitors seem to really like the rugged beauty associated with hiking here.
Prices range from $175 for a half-day hike to $300 for a full-day. Lunch and snack options vary and are based on the trip that you select. So please contact us to discuss the type of hike that you are interested in.
